Peter’s career in healthcare market research dates back to 1989 when he joined what was Isis Research after arriving from his native New Zealand. He made his way through various roles before becoming the managing director of Synovate’s (now Ipsos) global healthcare fieldwork business, eventually leaving to team up with Sarah to form Adept Field.

Peter loves nothing more than spending time with his wife and three kids. He loves to keep active and has a passion for surfing and skiing, along with being an avid All Blacks fan.

Sarah joined the healthcare research industry in 1998, having graduated with a BSc in Biology. Rising through the project management ranks at Fieldwork International, she was responsible for setting up FI’s Online division in 2002 before becoming Managing Director of the UK division (subsequently Synovate Healthcare Field Services) in 2005.

Sarah is a busy Mum of 2 teenagers, keen netballer and foodie, but given half a chance you’ll find her with a drink in hand somewhere warm & sunny or cold & snowy!

Jennifer has been heading up our US Operations since 2015, based out of PA. She began her career in the market research industry some 20 years ago. Jennifer gained a broad experience in domestic and international qualitative projects in the consumer, business-to-business and healthcare fields. For the past fifteen years Jennifer has specialised in international healthcare research; successfully directing the qualitative field divisions at two leading healthcare agencies, prior to joining Adept.

There is no end to Jennifer’s talents, she’s an amazing singer, actress and makeup enthusiast, and most of all dog lover.

Fiona joined Adept in 2022 as a Project Director with 10+ years international qual and quant consumer experience. A Marketing Week Engage Awards Finalist, Fiona has expertise in bespoke recruitment, online bulletin boards, and consumer moderation.

Fiona holds an impressive academic record, accolades include an MA in Central and South East European Studies (picking up conversational Serbian and Croatian along the way) and an MTeach from Sydney, where she subsequently taught in Primary and University settings before returning to the world of Market Research.

A devoted Mum and dog-Mum to Ralph, Fiona is also an avid DIY’er, juggling her many roles with a smile and a screwdriver in hand!

Sallena joined Adept as a Project Director in 2013 and has been instrumental in building client services levels ever since. Sallena leads by example and under her expert guidance many of our more junior team members have grown and excelled in project management. Sallena is our in-house Payer and Market Access expert. She is fluent in Urdu and Hindi.

Sallena has recently taken up weightlifting, and when she finally takes a break from it all, she loves spending time in the sunshine on the beach.

Deepa joined Adept Field in 2011 but her experience in medical MR spans back to 2008 when she worked with Sarah and Peter at Synovate Healthcare. Over the years, Deepa has worked on a huge variety of multi-national projects, across a wide spectrum of therapy areas but her interest and real expertise lies with rare & orphan diseases.

A yoga teacher and practitioner, Deepa remains cool headed and can often be found helping others in the team with their breathing techniques!

Heliana first became a member of the A-team more than 11 years ago, and after a short break she returned to us in 2024 again in a full-time capacity as Project Director.

Originally from Colombia, Heliana is our in-house Lat-Am expert, fostering our local network across the region. She is bilingual in Spanish and English with proficiency in Italian too. With an early career in Quant and a natural aptitude for embracing operational technology Heliana is ideally placed to help with the review and roll out of new strategic systems.

A Mum to two wonderful boys, Heliana has her hands pretty full, but despite this busy schedule she prioritizes fitness and loves nothing more than travelling with her family, exploring all the world has to offer!

Steven joined the Adept team in 2021 with six years of International qual experience under his belt, his expertise is wide reaching and he engages regularly with a wide-range of stakeholders, including KOLs, payors, specialists, nurses, patients and caregivers.

Steven has a passion for language and hold degrees in English literature and linguistics. In his life before market research, he was teacher and still provides English tuition to students his spare time. Steven is currently learning to speak Spanish and likes to enjoy the food, culture and climate of Spain as often as possible!

Marie-Claire (MC) has been a key member of the A-Team since 2011, and prior to this had worked with Sarah and Peter some 10 years before! MC acts as our Compliance Lead for anything to do with France. She is bilingual (French and English) with good understanding of Spanish and Italian..

When she’s not running projects, she loves running in the outdoors and practices open water swimming in a disused and now flooded limestone quarry.

Emily joined the Adept Project Management team in November 2018, she specialises in patient research, and has recently taken the lead in managing our growing patient community AdePT Perspectives.

Emily holds a 1st Class degree in Psychology with English Language & Communication and impressively won a children’s national writing competition! She continues to be an avid reader and traveller, and somehow or other she also manages to support the Samaritans, as a Listening Volunteer and in other ways! It’s a good job she likes to be busy!

Jessica joined Adept in 2021 as a Project controller. She is a graduate from the University of Sussex, where she secured a first-class honour degree in Psychology with clinical approaches. Her social media and marketing expertise is being well received by our ever-growing patient network.

Jess is a keen cook, and amazing baker of beautiful cakes (lucky for us!) and when not busy in the kitchen she can be found watching the latest crime series.

Lauren first became a member of the A-team more than 9 years ago, and has worked a variety of roles from Project Manager to Administrator and now Office Manager. She has a BSc in Computer Science and uses her technical background to advance incentive payments and other internal processes. She has worked in the Pharmaceutical Research Industry sicne 2007 where she first met Peter at Synovate.

Lauren being the social butterfly that she is, enjoys organising the Christmas and summer parties, bringing the A-Team and our wonderful suppliers together for some much deserved fun and entertainment. She’s a Mum of 2 teenage kids and likes to meditate and practice yoga daily to keep herself grounded.
