Sarah
Director & Co-Founder
Sarah joined the healthcare research industry in 1998, having graduated with a BSc in Biology. Rising through the project management ranks at Fieldwork International, she was responsible for setting up FI’s Online division in 2002 before becoming Managing Director of the UK division (subsequently Synovate Healthcare Field Services) in 2005.
Sarah is a busy Mum of two teenagers, keen netballer and foodie, but given half a chance you’ll find her with a drink in hand somewhere warm & sunny or cold & snowy!
Peter
Director & Co-Founder
Peter’s career in healthcare market research began in 1989, when he joined what was then Isis Research after arriving from his native New Zealand. He progressed through a range of senior roles before becoming Managing Director of Synovate’s (now Ipsos) global healthcare fieldwork business. He later left to partner with Sarah in founding Adept Field.
Outside work, Peter most enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He keeps active through a love of surfing, wingfoiling and skiing, and is a lifelong All Blacks supporter.
Jennifer
Operations, USA
Jennifer has been heading up our US Operations since 2015, based out of PA. She began her career in the market research industry over 20 years ago. Jennifer gained a broad experience in domestic and international qualitative projects in the consumer, business-to-business and healthcare fields. Prior to joining Adept, Jennifer specialised in international healthcare research for 15 years; successfully directing the qualitative field divisions at two leading healthcare agencies.
There is no end to Jennifer’s talents, she’s an amazing singer, actress and makeup enthusiast, and most of all, dog lover.
Emily
Project Director
Emily joined the Adept Project Management team in November 2018, she specialises in patient research, and has recently taken the lead in managing our growing patient community AdePT Perspectives.
Emily holds a 1st Class degree in Psychology with English Language & Communication and impressively won a children’s national writing competition! She continues to be an avid reader and traveller, and somehow or other she also manages to support the Samaritans, as a Listening Volunteer and in other ways! It’s a good job she likes to be busy
Deepa
Project Director
Deepa joined Adept Field in 2011 but her experience in medical MR spans back to 2008 when she worked with Sarah and Peter at Synovate Healthcare. Over the years, Deepa has worked on a huge variety of multi-national projects, across a wide spectrum of therapy areas but her interest and real expertise lies with rare & orphan diseases.
A yoga teacher and practitioner, Deepa remains cool headed and can often be found helping others in the team with their breathing techniques!
Marie-Claire
Project Director
Marie-Claire (MC) has been a key member of the A-Team since 2011, and prior to this had worked with Sarah and Peter some 10 years before! MC acts as our Compliance Lead for anything to do with France. She is bilingual (French and English) with good understanding of Spanish and Italian..
When she’s not running projects, she loves running in the outdoors and practices open water swimming in a disused and now flooded limestone quarry.
Sallena
Project Director
Sallena joined Adept as a Project Director in 2013 and has been instrumental in building client services levels ever since. Sallena leads by example and under her expert guidance many of our more junior team members have grown and excelled in project management. Sallena is our in-house Payer and Market Access expert. She is fluent in Urdu and Hindi.
Sallena has recently taken up weightlifting, and when she finally takes a break from it all, she loves spending time in the sunshine on the beach.
Fiona
Project Director
Fiona joined Adept in 2022 as a Project Director with 10+ years international consumer experience. A Marketing Week Engage Awards Finalist, Fiona has expertise in bespoke recruitment, online bulletin boards, and consumer moderation.
Fiona holds an impressive academic record, accolades include an MA in Central and South East European Studies and an MTeach from Sydney, where she subsequently taught in Primary and University settings.
A devoted Mum and dog-Mum to Ralph, Fiona is also an avid DIY’er, juggling her many roles with a smile and a screwdriver in hand!
Ethan
Project Associate
Ethan joined the team in 2025, bringing a methodical and analytical approach to the office following his studies in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Surrey. As a Project Controller, Ethan is a versatile member of the team, assisting on large-scale studies while increasingly taking the pilot’s seat to lead his own projects.
A major sports fan, Ethan closely follows the thrills of both the Premier League and the NFL. When he’s not tracking project milestones, he’s likely tracking his progress in the gym or enjoying a well-earned outing at the pub with friends.
Lauren
Office Manager
Lauren first became a member of the A-team in 2012, and has worked a variety of roles from Project Manager to Administrator and now Office Manager. She has a BSc in Computer Science and uses her technical background to advance incentive payments and other internal processes. She has worked in the Pharmaceutical Research Industry since 2007.
Lauren, being the social butterfly that she is, enjoys organising the Christmas and summer parties, bringing the A-Team and our wonderful suppliers together for some much deserved fun and entertainment. She’s a Mum of two teenage kids and likes to meditate and practice yoga daily to keep herself grounded.
